Stud Contract

Old Mills Aussiedoodles (Kirstin Finnila) shall be referred to as the “Stud Owner”, and ______________ shall be referred to as the “Bitch Owner” for the following terms in the mating of these dogs.

The Bitch Owner shall pay the Stud Owner $1250 for the use of the Stud Dog prior to mating. An additional $100 is charged if shipping fresh or frozen semen. The Stud Owner may consider taking pick of the litter in lieu of the stud fee. Regardless of option, the Bitch Owner shall pay a $200 non-refundable booking deposit to the Stud Owner prior to mating. This deposit will go towards the stud fee. 

If bred naturally, the bitch owner can choose to bring the bitch to the house of the stud and let her stay no longer than 5 days, or bring the dog over only for mating. While residing at the stud owner’s house, the bitch owner shall provide food, medications, and all other special care. The Stud Owner will give the bitch shelter, love, and care. 

The Stud Owner guarantee’s at least two puppies born alive. If the bitch were to have less than two, then a repeat breeding would occur at no charge. If no puppies result the second time, then these terms are omitted and half of the stud fee shall be returned. 

The Bitch and Stud owners must receive a negative brucellosis test done within a month prior to mating. Genetic test results shall be sent to the stud owner. Progesterone tests done on the female are encouraged, but not mandatory. Both parent dogs shall be in good reproductive health and not suffer from Parvo, Rabies, or other contagious diseases. 

The bitch owner shall do research on how to help raise high quality puppies. Pictures of puppies when they have been born and individual pictures of puppies at eight weeks old shall be sent from the bitch owner to the stud owner. Stud Owner agrees to help, give recommendations, and be a mentor to the bitch owner until the puppies have gone onto their forever homes.
